Appraisal Services
We evaluate the value, authenticity, and condition of coins and currency. This service is designed for collectors, investors, and individuals who want to determine the worth of their items.

What We Do
For coins, we check for authenticity by assessing mint marks, weight, material composition, and other identifying features that confirm it is genuine. For paper money, we inspect the security features, ink, and paper quality to ensure the note is not counterfeit.
Condition
The condition of the item is a critical factor, because it directly affects value. Coins are typically graded on the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70, with higher numbers representing better-preserved specimens.
Similary, currency is assessed based on such as folds, stains, crispness, with grades ranging from poor to uncirculated.

Rarity
This is a key determinant of value for both coins and currency. Items with low mintages, historical significance, or unique errors tend to be more valuable.
We also account for historical considerations, collector appeal, and demand which will affect the item’s market overall value. To make a fair appraisal, we research similar sales, and market trends of related items.
Types of Appraisals
Appraisals can be informal, such as a verbal estimate, or formal, which involves detailed written documentation that is often used for insurance or legal purposes.
Formal appraisals are usually more comprehensive and may include photographs and detailed descriptions of the items. While informal appraisals are sometimes offered for free at coin shops or events, formal ones usually come with a fee, which varies depending on the complexity of the evaluation.
